Balmaringa Reserve Playground, South Turramurra

Gorgeous little playground! Perfect for pre-schoolers / toddlers / kindy kids. And best part for moms, across the road is a proper coffee shop.

The playground is situated at the corner of Balmaringa Avenue and Auluba Road or 1A Balmaringa Avenue, South Turramurra, 2074 according to my GPS. There is generally parking adjacent to the park so you can park next to the park before hopping over to grab a coffee at Vertical Espresso or some rolls at the bakery (just don’t try take a pram into the bakery – the steps are a nightmare).

The playground is small but lovely. It’s all  gated which means you can sit down, drink your coffee and watch your children scoot or trike around the playground.

Aside from the cycle path around the perimeter, the playground there is a climbing frame, awesome slides and two swings. There is also a fort… A fort, with a rock wall and climbing rope.

The playground setting itself is lovely – perfect for explorers: rocks to climb, walkways for discovering, stepping stones and a hill to roll down. There is plenty of natural shade so perfect in summer but a bit cool in autumn or winter and also heaps of grass for settling down with any babies in tow.

I reckon next time we go we’ll take some food and have a tea time picnic.
